In one week (6 days – Monday-Saturday) – rehearse in professional dance studios and perform a musical on the last day in a Theatre!

About our Musicals in a Week Summer Programme
Our Musical in a Week Summer Programme is led by our CTA Musical Theatre faculty of West End Creatives and, the Principal of CTA Performing Arts, Georgina Burns.
Your child will spend 5 days rehearsing either Frozen, Matilda or Annie (depending which week you book on) and on the 6th day – the Saturday, they will perform their musical at The Tabard Theatre, Chiswick.
Who are our Musical in a Week Summer Camps suitable for?
They are suitable for the child who loves musicals, singing, dancing and acting. No previous performing experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and a love for musicals. If your child is a beginner they will be guided and nurtured throughout the whole week. Children who are more experienced will be encouraged and challenged and may be given the opportunity to play main roles. So if your child has always wanted to be Elsa or Anna, Annie or Miss Hannigan, Matilda or Miss Trunchbull or has wanted to be part of Hygge or Fixer Upper in Frozen, or an orphan in Annie or a ‘Revolting Child’ in Matilda then our Musical in a Week Summer Camps is the perfect summer camp for them. It will also be such FUN!

What is the Schedule?
The Musical in a Week camps run 10am-5pm Monday to Friday with rehearsals taking place at CTA Performing Arts in their professional dance studios. On the Saturday we move to The Tabard Theatre (by Turnham Green Station) where we will run our Tech rehearsal and perform our shows! Saturday Schedule tbc.
About the Shows
We are delighted to have acquired the rights to perform the musicals Frozen (Kids), Annie (Kids) and Matilda the Musical jR for our Musical in the Week Summer Camps. These shows are the Junior versions of the much loved musicals and are suitable for children to perform. The MTI Junior shows are shorter than the West End shows – with performance running times of: Frozen Kids 40 minutes, Annie Kids – 40 minutes & Matilda the Musical jR 60 minutes.
Our casts will perform in their Camp T-shirt, black leggings and black jazz shoes (these can be purchased from our Reception).
Frozen Kids: This is the 40 minute version of the popular West End musical Frozen. Songs include: Let It Go, Do you Wanna Build a Snowman, In Summer & Love is an Open Door.
Annie Kids: This is a 40 minute version of the much loved musical Annie. Songs in Annie Kids include: Tomorrow, Hard Knock Life, Easy Street and Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile.
Matilda the Musical jR: This 60 minute version of the Award Winning musical by Tim Minchin feature songs including: Naughty, Revolting Children, Miracle, Bruce & School Song.

As a family business, run by myself and my husband Phil, and located in central Chiswick – (we are not a franchise) we pride ourselves on our commitment to every student who attends CTA Performing Arts, whether they attend weekly classes or attend our holiday camps. If your child loves musicals and performing or if your child has dreams of a career on the stage – then our Musical in a Week will be the perfect outlet for their talent and enthusiasm.
Every student who walks through our doors is important to us - so whether your child wants to play Elsa, Matilda or Annie or because you are looking for a Summer Camp where your child will gain confidence, creative skills and perhaps discover a new talent + making new friendships – our Musical in a Week will be truly inspirational + finishing with a performance in a theatre for an audience of family and friends!
With the inspiration, support and guidance of our talented and experienced teaching faculty, our students are nurtured and developed to reach their full potential as performers and directed on a path of creativity, self-confidence, expression and individualism.
Our students have starred in West Ends shows, Disney films, Regional Theatre, TV shows, and worked with Hollywood royalty. One of my students who played Young Anna in my 2023 production of Frozen is now playing Young Anna in the West End production of Frozen! Graduates have also gone on to study at Oxford and Cambridge, training to be Doctors, Lawyers, Architects, Social Workers as well as those who have chosen a career within the Performing Arts. We believe that the skills we teach are transferable to all life aspects. In many findings, researchers are linking the study of performing arts to better child development and higher academic achievement.
