Why dance with us?

We all know stories of people who lavish vast amounts of money on expensive gyms or equipment only to get bored and disillusioned a few weeks later. In a health conscious society we are all made to feel inadequate in our attempts to keep fit. Dance is a very social activity provided for adult recreation. – and how much more interesting than a fitness workout in the gym!! Social dancing is a positive and rewarding experience.

We are very understanding and sympathetic to the needs of the beginner adults.

Dance with us if you

  • Want to improve your general level of fitness
  • Want to improve your co-ordination and dance ability
  • Want to socialise and have fun with like minded people
  • Want the best in professional teaching

Adult Tap

Adults love tap! And Georgina loves tap. She was fortunate to be in the original cast of the most famous tap musical ever 42nd Street at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane where she tapped with some of the greatest tap dancers of her generation. Tap shoes are not essential to begin with, but if you think that you want to take tap up more permanently, then you will need tap shoes. You can purchase your shoes from us. (All who attend Chiswick Theatre Arts receive 10% off Recommended Retail Price).

Dance & Stretch

Dance & Stretch is a Jazz style based dance class. It’s great fun to do and is packed with traditional jazz choreography. This class is run at a general level, so is suitable for beginners as well as for those with more experience. We do jazz style exercises for 25 minutes and then spend the rest of the time working on a dance routine. We normally work on the same routine for about 3 weeks. You’ll find that once you’ve done the same routine for the second time, and then the third time, that the steps become easier and easier to do. Dance is about repetition. The more you do it, the better you get and the easier you will find it to pick up the dance steps.
